ART-IN-RES 2024 RESULTS

RESIDENCY PROGRAMME ART-IN-RES 2024

For the fourth year, Nová síť z. s. in cooperation with Czech residency centres has been running the residency programme ART-IN-RES supporting artists’ and managers’ residencies in the Czech Republic with a focus on contemporary theatre, dance and other performing arts genres.

The purpose of the ART-IN-RES programme is to promote cultural mobility and networking, experience-building, knowledge exchange and skills development of all those involved in the arts residencies. By providing artists’ residencies, the programme aims to support creative process and emergence of new projects. With the managers’ residencies, it offers space and time for intensive concentrated work on development, evaluation or long-term planning of cultural projects or organisations.

ART-IN-RES RESULTS

The call for 2024 was open to Czech and also international applicants for the support of a residency in a selected host organisation from www.artinres.cz. Artists, culture managers, and other culture professionals working in contemporary theatre, dance, and other performing arts genres could apply to the programme. The programme’s financial and administrative support is intended for residents as well as host organisations.

This year we received a record number of applications. The call attracted 90 applications, of which 42 were from international applicants. We were forced to reduce the number of projects selected due to significantly lower support from the National Recovery Plan programme. This year Nová síť, in cooperation with host organisations, will support 10 projects and residency centres with a total support of CZK 697,600. An artists’ residency will be supported beyond the call as a co-production in cooperation with the International Theatre Festival Hradec Králové – REGIONS.
