Bohemia Farmstudio, an independent centre for the promotion and presentation of live art, announces an open call for the following programmes. We offer remarkable premises and facilities for a cultural centre housed in a former farmhouse from the early 19th century in the village of Vysoká on the edge of the Kokořín Protected Landscape Area.
There is accommodation, a lounge, a kitchen, generous exhibition space, a hall and a large courtyard area. The place with a distinctive genius loci is extremely suitable for site-specific realizations. Upon agreement, assistance with technical and organizational arrangements, rental of presentation and sound equipment, curatorial support and professional photo and video documentation are possible.
WE CAN OFFER:
- Accommodation and workspace (shared bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, common room, WiFi)
- Professional photo documentation of the work and the exhibition launch
- Workshop equipped with basic tools and machinery
- Local material available (stones, bricks, roof tiles, wood and more)
- Beautiful and inspiring location of Kokorin natural reserve
- Large format digital (photo) printing with member pricing
This year, the Commission of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic did not supportour successful project of international residencies, in the implementation of which it has participated so far. This step in the distribution of EU public funds leads us to reduce our activities and change the art residencies conditions. It is still the case that we welcome all those interested in residencies across artistic disciplines, but we cannot financially support their stay and work this season.

Dates as agreed in the range of 2-20 days in the period April-October 2024

Final public presentations in the form of exhibitions, concerts, performances, etc. will be supported by Farmstudio – Centre for Arts and Culture according to the results grants applications.

The exhibition opening, performances, concerts and performances take place at the traditional contemporary art festival Farmstudio OPEN on Saturday October 5 2024. The exhibition continues until the end of the year.
