Bohemia Farmstudio

THE LOCATION:

• Bohemia Farmstudio, the independent centre for contemporary art, is located in a unique setting of the former agricultural compound in Kokořínsko region. In addition to its own residency programme, the centre offers facilities for arts residencies, plein-airs, workshops, and festivals to groups and collectives primarily in visual arts, theatre, dance, and music. The building is gradually undergoing the self-help renovation with respect to cultural and historical values. It has been adapted to accommodate creation and presentation of contemporary art.

STUDIOS / REHEARSAL ROOMS:

• The large compound offers a two-story Gallery with an exhibition space (200 m²) and the Studio/Hall (8 × 25 m, 4 m ceiling height) with a stage (36 m², cushion dance floor is an option).
• There is also a courtyard of about 2000 m² with two unroofed buildings (former barns).
• Rehearsals could be also carried out inside the building’s common room with a square floor plan (6 x 6 m), heated.
• The capacity of the venue for public events is 30-300 people.

ACCOMMODATION:

• The residency house offers a four-bed, eight-bed and a double room. The “hostel-like” accommodation features with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities (3 × toilet, 3 × shower).
• Other roofed buildings could also be used for accommodation. As an alternative, participants can bring and use their own tents.

SERVICES:

• Data projector, sound system, modification of indoor and outdoor spaces for your specific purposes.
• Professional photo and video documentation by arrangement.
