Emergency Art Residencies – Studio Bubec

Studio Bubec considers it necessary to express solidarity with the Ukrainian people fleeing the war conflict and to help as an art institution and offer artists who are currently forced to leave their homes a place to work with basic accommodation.

For three Ukrainian artists, we are now offering a free residency at Studio Bubec from 1 April to 10 May 2022 with the opportunity to participate in Studio Bubec activities and subsequent presentation of the resulting works in the Pick’n’mix exhibition, which will take place in September this year.

During the residency, the artist will receive a workspace, basic accommodation in the Studio premises and curatorial or technical support as needed. Studio Bubec is suitable for interior and exterior work, also for work on sculptures, large-scale works, work with metal, wood, etc. It is equipped with lifting equipment up to 3t.

Students could also use for work a reinforced surface outdoors on the land of the studio. The Studio Bubec is located nearby the Prokopske and Dalejske Valley nature reserve and provides a peaceful environment for a concentrated work.
