Bubec

THE LOCATION:

• Studio Bubec is located in the Řeporyje district of Prague and serves as a space for work in visual arts and for group study workshops, and arts residencies. The space can also be used for specific artistic events in theater, performance, and music. The studio is situated near the protected valleys – Prokopské and Dalejské údolí, offering a peaceful environment for focused work. However, it is also conveniently accessible to the city center of Prague within 20 minutes by public transport, making it ideal for cultural teams.
• The studio is equipped with basic tools and production equipment for working with metal, wood, stone, and other materials. It includes lifting equipment with a capacity of up to 3 tons, making it suitable for creating large-scale installations and artworks.
• Residents can use both the indoor space of the studio and the outdoor paved area on the studio’s premises. Additionally, the Bubec Garden features a wooden stage. For cultural team meetings, there is a meeting room for approximately 20 people, equipped with audio equipment and a data projector.
• The studio includes a dressing room, kitchen, and restroom facilities and offers accommodation.

STUDIOS / REHEARSAL ROOMS:

• The open space of Studio Bubec can accommodate around 10 artists. It features a well-equipped workshop with basic tools and production equipment for working with metal, wood, stone, and other materials, including lifting equipment with a capacity of up to 3 tons, making it suitable for creating large-scale installations and artworks.
• An outdoor paved area on the studio premises is also available, along with a meeting room for approximately 20 people, equipped with audio equipment and a data projector.
• The Bubec Garden is also available for artistic activities, featuring a wooden stage, a covered terrace with seating for about 15 people, and an outdoor kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator, kettle, and coffee maker.

ACCOMMODATION:

• Accommodation is offered in single or double rooms located directly within the Studio Bubec premises, with shared kitchen and restroom facilities (3 × WC, 2 × showers) for a maximum of 4 people. Alternatively, there is hostel accommodation available in the immediate vicinity of the studio.
